"Shortly before the collapse of the USSR, Marina and Ivan Schastykh had triplets and began life in a separate apartment number 13. But the naive 1980s are being replaced by the hungry 1990s, and the mood in the family is no longer rosy. Ivan, once the youngest and most promising candidate of sciences at Moscow State University, is forced to become a tutor and a homemaker while Marina earns money on the market.
